Culture and the formalization of organizational decision support systems

چکیده
This paper posits that the design and implementation formalization of Organizational Decision Support Systems (ODSSs) is more formalized than other types of decision support systems. By examining the process of information shanmg as a cultural phenomenon, the paper demonstrates that they type of decision support system is related to two dimensions of culture space-codification and diffusion. Since codtjkation is directly related to formalization, the modeI suggests that ODSSs require greater formalization than either Group Decision Support Systems (GDSSs) or individual Decision Support
